1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Outdoor Living Carolinas, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. About the Service
Outdoor Living Carolinas is a regional contractor discovery and lead-routing platform serving North Carolina and South Carolina homeowners. We match homeowners with vetted outdoor living contractors across 14 service categories: Patios, Outdoor Kitchens, Pool Decks, Retaining Walls, Outdoor Fireplaces, Fire Pits, Decks, Pergolas, Covered Patios, Screened Porches, Landscape Lighting, Turf Installation, Water Features, and Luxury Backyard Design.
3. Homeowner Use
Submitting a project request through our matching form is free and creates no obligation. Contractor quotes provided through our platform are also free of charge to homeowners. The decision to engage any matched contractor is yours alone.
4. Matched Contractors
Contractors in our network are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Outdoor Living Carolinas. Any contract you enter into is between you and the contractor directly. We are not party to that contract.
5. Vetting Standards
We vet network contractors against five criteria: active NC or SC contractor licensing, three years of documented Carolina project history, real-customer references, on-the-ground portfolio inspection, and Carolinas-specific specialty. While we apply this standard rigorously, we do not warrant or guarantee any specific contractor's work.
6. Disputes with Contractors
Any dispute about a contractor's work, contract terms, or service quality should be addressed directly with the contractor. We encourage homeowners to share feedback so we can review continued network membership, but resolution of disputes is between the parties to the contract.
7. Editorial Content
Our cost guides, project galleries, and educational content are provided for informational purposes. Pricing ranges and recommendations reflect typical Carolinas market conditions but should not substitute for actual contractor quotes for your specific project.
8. Limitation of Liability
Outdoor Living Carolinas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform or your engagement with matched contractors.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on Outdoor Living Carolinas — text, graphics, logos, project galleries, and editorial work — is the property of Outdoor Living Carolinas or our content partners and is protected by copyright laws.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
